Corpus Christi is the most impressive event I had the chance to see in South America so far. During the day, fifteen saints and virgins are carried around the Plaza de Armas while brass band play traditional music. During their walk, carriers have a few break before getting the Cusco cathedral where the saints and virgins will stay two weeks.
Peruvian people celebrate it with music, local alcohols and traditional dishes.
